Description: Rabbi Shlomo Carlebach began his life’s journey in the Chabad Lubavitch Chassidic dynasty. He later developed the idea of reaching out to Jews who were estranged from their heritage through song and the warmth of his personal spirit. During his life, he was known as, “The Singing Rabbi.” Many of the melodies he created have today become an integral part of Jewish prayer. His personal style of enlightened teaching, singing, and storytelling has engraved him in the hearts of thousands of people whose lives he touched.
