Description: During the period of the British Mandate, Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak HaCohen Kook was first Chief Rabbi of Palestine. His writings and teachings formed the core founding principles of the Religious Zionist movement. In his lifetime, he created the educational system of the Religious Zionism based from the Merkaz HaRav Yeshiva. Even by his political opponents, he was recognized as a major contributor to Jewish philosophy, legal decisions, and he was able to discern discern esoteric Kabbalistic principles. He was among the great influential and respected rabbis of the 20th century.
